Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. After her first small performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character in A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985), she went onto perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte as Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was a model when she was approached. The result was that it turned out to be an extremely lucrative profession. Doody did not like glamour or nude work. This was a principle she carried over to her acting. She was cast in a minor role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after her name was picked by the casting director. Doody's name was featured in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising new actors in 1986. 38. Doody, who was only 18 when she portrayed Doody in the film A Prayer to the Dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke. Doody is the tiniest Bond girl to be seen. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. Doody's first leading role came in an episode from 1988 of the Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film alongside Sean Connery, who played the character's father. Doody appeared in the 1991 British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. When she moved to Hollywood, Doody became an international star. She replaced Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's role. Then she played Flannery Sheen's wife and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. After nearly a decade from the screen Doody came back to acting, and acted in a tiny role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the award ceremony scene. She was in the film together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody recorded a part in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two seasons. In 2014, she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. She received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
